Workshops

1-Day workshops are offered throughout the year and provide high school girls with an introduction to business, entrepreneurship and the free enterprise system. All workshops are highly interactive and are geared toward teen girls in 9th-12th grades. Each 1-day workshop is $15 and includes lunch. Space is limited. You must pre-register for each workshop!

Workshop Descriptions

Introduction to Entrepreneurship

In this workshop students learn what it means to be an entrepreneur and how to use their unique skills and talents to start a small business venture. A variety of interactive learning tools are used including games, simulations, and videos.

Creativity Workshop

In this highly interactive workshop students learn how to unleash their creativity. Working in teams, students invent a new product (or invention) that addresses a current issue or need. Students are encouraged to think outside of the box as they imagine the future impact their ideas could have on the market.

Communicate with Style

This workshop introduces the unique language of business and entrepreneurship. Students develop new language skills and practice business vocabulary. This workshop is excellent for teens looking to improve their public speaking and presentation skills.

Introduction to Leadership

In this workshop students learn basic leadership concepts, and gain insight into the value of leadership in everyday activities. Topics discussed include goal setting, ethics and ethical decision making, conflict management, and problem solving. A variety of interactive learning tools are used including vision boards, games and videos.

Take It Global

This workshop introduces teen girls to the concept of global entrepreneurship. Topics discussed include global trade, market research, foreign languages, cross cultural communication, and cultural diversity. A variety of interactive learning tools are used including computers, games, simulations, and videos.
